Your version of 'item2' may be outdated. Qwertyfly... I've chmod 777 my /sites/all/files, /sites/all/files/prepro recursively as well and my /tmp folder. This also just happens on the first start of the software when we close and reopen it it gets the path and we can enter the master password.
