The problem got solved when I realized that I have installed MikTex in two separate locations of my workstation. Pdflatex-synctex=1-interaction=nonstopmode .tex Windows Perfect, this helped me a lot; I should not say... But it uses the same repos. Try building something. Log File Not Found Texmaker I don't understand why this is needed since pdflatex is in my PATH. Then it can start the command.

This is a file which should have been installed along with MiKTeX. As for your question about the best editor, there is a Comparison of TeX editors documented on Wikipedia, which may be of use to you. You don't need to change the paths. weblink I've never used any (La)TeX before.
If you decide in favor of MiKTeX, make sure to install the user mode (you're asked about that during the installation process), not in admin mode. I had the same issue as the original poster and adding the pdflatex command (like pdmadscience suggested) fixed the issue.
